What's Rattling?

Join us, 3rd grade students at Snyder Elementary school, as we take you on an amazing journey to the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup. Go with us as we follow snake hunters into the wild canyons around our area and capture a rattlesnake. Follow us as we take you to the rattlesnake roundup to watch and listen to snake handling professionals as they show us the rattlesnakes retractable fangs, milk the poisonous venom, and share the medical benefits of rattlesnake venom. If you are queasy, you may want to shut your eyes as we show you the internal organs of a snake including the beating heart. You will hear the amazing "buzzing" sound their rattlers make and we will give you safety tips about what to do if you encounter a rattlesnake? Believe us, it is easier said than done but just remember: Snake, Rattle, and Stand Still! Don't miss this exciting journey into the West Texas world of the RATTLESNAKE!
